The Field Service Technician is responsible for scheduling and delivery of equipment to the customer in a timely and professional manner, including educating the patient/caregiver on the operation and safe use of equipment. Responsible for equipment, warehouse maintenance, and tracking of inventory at all times. Positively representing the company to our client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Consistently embrace the Assured’s standards. Responsible for delivery and set up equipment in accordance with arranged schedule to the customer/patients in a timely and professional manner. Instructs and demonstrates patient/caregiver/nurse on proper and safe use of equipment. Loads equipment in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with Assured Policies. Drives safely and defensively obeying all traffic laws. Appropriately routes and schedules deliveries based upon patient needs and efficiency of operations. Provides safe environment for the patient at all times. Checks electrical outlets for power whenever delivering electrically powered Home Medical Equipment. Is available to rotate on-call with field service technicians and must be available to travel when needed. Reports unusual occurrences regarding patients or property to Supervisor and/or Manager.
Requirements: Two Years Customer Service or comparable experience required. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Job responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to: Will be trained on and exposed to the world of home medical equipment, commercial insurances, Medicare/Medicaid, billing codes, medical data entry software, scanning, etc. P/T or F/T is possible. F/T hours will be Monday thru Friday, 8:30am – 5pm. P/T hours may be flexible but must work Monday thru Friday, 5 hrs per day – TBD but between 9am – 5pm. Candidates must be flexible w/ responsibilities, possess excellent customer relations skill sets and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must be computer literate, able to type 35-40 wpm and proficient w/ Microsoft Office applications. 1-2 yrs of Customer Service experience necessary, medical office or medical billing exp a plus.
